New found sounds from Francesco Mingrino have arrived under the moniker Younger Than Me - an Italian native now based in Berlin. With early turns on labels like Bordello A Parigi, Amsterdam-Utrecht based platform XXX, Rotterdam’s Bar and Jennifer Cardini’s Dischi Autunno - the artist founded his own 90’s Wax imprint in 2017. Delivering solo EPs and collaborations with the likes of Skatebård, Francesco Farfa and Timothy Clerkin - it’s a project that has come through his role as art director and co-owner of its parent label - Tusk Wax. Pushing a modern crossover of ‘90s influenced progressive house, trance, EBM, breakbeat and techno - it’s 90’s Wax that best defines the Italian’s love for modern influences of club music and idiosyncratic rave. Approaching his DJ sets and productions with a fun yet forceful sound - Younger Than Me finds himself resident DJ at Tempio Del Futuro Perduto in Milan and a former selector at Dude Club / L'Osservatorio Astronomico. Younger Than Me is an old skool yet fresh-faced lover of the ‘90s and the revolutionary rave it produced.
